New upward adjustment in export cattle prices
Export steer prices saw another increase, of around Ar$ 50 per kilo carcass weight. Crossbred British steers of better quality rose to between Ar$ 5,150 and 5,350 per kilo carcass eight, while crossbred zebu steers climbed to the Ar$ 5,050–5,150 range.
As for females, top-quality cows moved into the Ar$ 4,250–4,450 per kilo carcass range. Meanwhile, canner and manufacturing cows, known as “Chinese cows” due to their destination, increased at their top end and quote now around Ar$ 3,100–3,450 per kilo.
