New increase in export steer prices

Export steer prices saw another upward adjustment of about AR$ 50 per kilo carcass weight. With this increase, top-quality fat steers —crosses of British breeds— are now trading between AR$ 5,150 and 5,250 per kilo carcass weight, while zebu-cross steers are priced between AR$ 4,950 and 5,050.

Cow prices remained stable. The best-quality cows are quoted between AR$ 4,000 and 4,200 per kilo carcass weight, while “China cows” for canning and processing remain in the AR$ 2,900 to 3,400 range.
