Exports rose 1.4% in volume and 9.4% in value in May compared to April
Argentina’s beef exports in May 2025 totaled 53,780 tons (product weight), up 1.4% from the previous month, though 3.8% below May 2024. In terms of value, shipments reached around US$ 293.6 million, marking increases of 9.4% month-on-month and 30.0% year-on-year. This was the second-highest monthly figure since the record prices of 2022 following the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict (only surpassed in September 2024).
Both boneless frozen beef, which reached 30,285 tons, and boneless chilled beef, with 9,688 tons, recorded their highest monthly volumes so far this year.
The average price was also the highest in at least the last 30 months: at US$ 5,459, it was 7.9% above April and 35.1% higher than in May 2024.
