Average export value continues to rise
In the third week of June, the average export value of Brazilian beef continued to rise, even with high shipment volumes. According to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), in the week ending June 21, Brazil exported 51,592 tons of beef at an average value of US$ 5,477 per ton shipment weight. The volume fell by about 1,500 tons from the previous week but remains high, with a daily average of 12,060 tons so far this month. The average export value rose by US$ 12/t compared to the previous week and was US$ 615/t higher than the low recorded in the second week of March.
With six business days remaining in the month, the expectation is that June will close with around 230,000 tons of beef exports, nearly 40,000 tons more than in June 2024 and marking five consecutive months of year-on-year export growth.
