Export steer prices hold, cows edge lower

Export steer prices remained steady compared to the previous week. Top-quality finished crossbred steers (British breeds) are still trading around Ar$ 5,000–5,150 per kg dressed, while zebu crossbreds continue in the Ar$ 4,800–5,000 per kg dressed range.

In contrast, good cows dropped Ar$ 50 at the top end, now ranging from Ar$ 4,000 to 4,150 per kg dressed.

“Chinese cows”—used for processing and manufacturing—fell by Ar$ 100 due to weak demand and are now trading in the Ar$ 3,000–3,300 per kg dressed range.
