Second week of lower Hilton prices

European chilled beef values have slipped from their peak. Although some Argentine exporters still ask up to US$/t 18,300 FOB for new rump & loin Hilton loads, most business last week was below that value. Argentine market sources quoted US$/t 17,400 17,900 FOB, with importers pushing for lower values. In Uruguay, Hilton was around US$/t 16,700 FOB, but buyers this week were looking for US$/t 16,300 16,500 FOB.

From Brazil, an exporter reported chilled tenderloins at US$/t 19,000 FOB and rib eye/striploin at US$/t 8,900 FOB.
