Paraguay is in the final stage of enabling bilateral beef trade with Bolivia, a step that will allow exports to the Bolivian market while also opening the possibility of importing cuts from that country, as the sector seeks to expand markets and strengthen domestic supply.
The president of the National Service for Animal Quality and Health (Senacsa), José Carlos Martin, said that sanitary negotiations between the two countries are virtually complete and that the agreement could be formalized during March.
In an interview with ABC Cardinal, the head of the sanitary authority noted that the process had advanced previously but was put on hold due to the political instability Bolivia experienced in recent years.
