Wholesale beef prices in slow recovery

Wholesale beef prices in the Chinese market maintained a gradual recovery trend in August. According to data provided by OIG+X, based on information from MARA, the average price of beef in China rose to around US$ 9 per kilo in August, after hitting a low of about US$ 8 in February. This was the fifth consecutive month of moderate increases.
