China imported beef stocks continued to rise in August

The trend of stockpiling imported beef in cold storage in China persisted during August. Considering the volumes that continued to be shipped in July and August mainly from Mercosur (specifically, Brazil), stocks will likely keep rising in September and possibly October, given the difficulties importers face in channeling their inventories to distributors in the domestic market.
