Although the United States remains comfortably Brazil's second-largest beef market so far this year, export volume in June was the lowest since last November.
Shipments to the United States totaled 19,349 tons of frozen beef and 2,940 tons of chilled beef. During the first half of the year, chilled beef exports more than doubled, while frozen beef exports increased 12% year-on-year.
In June, Mexico ranked as the third-largest market for frozen beef, followed by Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines.
