Driven by the rush to complete the last shipments that will arrive in China in time to qualify under the 2026 quota, Brazilian beef exports reached their highest monthly volume of the year in June, with particularly strong shipment activity during the final days of the month.
Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) reported that the country exported 279,678 tons of beef at an average value of US$ 6,538 per ton. Export volume was 17,700 tons higher than in May and 38,600 tons above June 2025. The average export value increased a modest 0.5% from the previous month, slowing the pace of growth seen in earlier months.
During the last seven business days of the month, shipments totaled 92,600 tons, averaging 13,228 tons per day.
In the first half of the year, Brazil exported 1.495 million tons of beef at an average value of US$ 6,078 per ton, representing year-on-year increases of 16.2% in volume and 19.2% in average export value.
During the first half, Brazilian exports of poultry meat (12.8%), pork (8.6%), and hides (5.0%) also increased.
