The first three business days of July saw a strong pace of beef exports but lower average export values.
According to Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), 45,169 tons of beef had been exported as of July 3, lifting the daily shipment pace to 15,056 tons.
The average export value stood at US$ 6,384 per ton, down 2.7% from the final days of June and the lowest average value since the second week of May.
The average export value is expected to continue posting moderate declines over the coming weeks, reflecting China's reduced share of total exports and the lower average selling prices recorded in recent weeks.
