In June, the average carcass weight reached 241.2 kilos, surpassing the previous record set in May by another 0.4%. The increase is even more significant on a year-on-year basis, with average weight rising by 10 kilos, or 4.4%.
Beef production reached 259,775 tons (carcass weight equivalent) in June, up 8.3% from May but 0.9% below the same month last year.
During the first half of the year, average slaughter weight reached 237.1 kilos, up 3.0% (7 kilos) from the same period of 2025.
Total beef production amounted to 1.428 million tons (carcass weight equivalent), down 6.2% from the 1.522 million tons produced during January-June 2025.
