The Chilean market remains stable for Paraguayan beef, with quotations holding at US$ 7,300 CIF Santiago per ton for the chilled 19-cut set, unchanged from the previous week, an exporter said.
Nevertheless, competition from Brazil continues to weigh on regional trade. "It is very difficult to compete with Brazil," another processor commented, referring to the abundant Brazilian beef supply and the increasingly aggressive prices being offered in the market.
