Export cattle prices saw some setbacks linked to uncertainty or weaker markets. Steers of the best beef quality, British-breed crosses, remained in the range of Ar$ 7,900-8,100 per kg carcass weight, while zebu-cross steers fell by around Ar$ 100 per kg carcass weight, to a range of Ar$ 7,700-7,900.
Good-quality cows saw a more noticeable decline of around Ar$ 300, falling to a range of Ar$ 6,500-6,700 per kg carcass weight. In the case of canning and manufacturing cows, known as “Chinese cows” because of their main destination, both upper and lower price limits widened, with prices ranging between Ar$ 4,800 and 5,500 per kg carcass weight.
