Beef exports reached 46,114 tons product weight in April (around 63,700 tons carcass weight equivalent), down 26.5% from the previous month, 13% lower than a year ago and the lowest since March 2025.
In terms of value, export revenue in April totaled US$ 321.3 million, down 24.6% from March but 19.7% above April 2025.
The decline in export shipments was linked to the drop in cattle slaughter in April, which at 960,871 head was the second lowest in at least the last seven years (6.7% below March and 15.3% lower than April 2025).
