Following the production slowdown announced by several export-oriented plants during the year-end holidays, export steer prices appear to have stabilized. While isolated deals were reportedly closed at Ar$ 7,900 per kg on-the-hook, as in the previous week, most transactions for finished crossbred British-type steers of better meat quality ranged between Ar$ 7,600 and 7,800 per kg on-the-hook. Steers with Zebu crosses continued to trade in the Ar$ 7,300 to 7,600 range per kg on-the-hook.
