Average beef export value rose 20% in the first half of the year
In the first half of 2025, Uruguay exported 198,000 tons of beef at an average value of US$ 6,592 per ton, according to export application data reported by Customs. The volume increased by 4% year-on-year (around 8,000 tons), in line with the rise in slaughter, while the average export value posted a strong 20% annual increase, driven by solid demand from the United States and the European Union, along with steady buying interest from China.
