US beef import prices were sharply higher
Compared to the last market test, beef import prices were sharply higher in the USA. Trading was moderate to active. Moderate to good demand continued to support prices. Concerns about the new tariff rates continued to limit out-front trading. Trading from Brazil was very active as buyers tried to procure their supplies ahead of the tariff rate change, according to the USDA weekly report.
