Philippines gives the green light to Russian pork
The Philippines has lifted the ban on the supply of pork from Russia, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) reported. The Philippine Bureau of Animal Industry recognized the adequacy of veterinary supervision in Russia and the effectiveness of the measures being implemented to mitigate the risks of African swine fever spread.
“Lifting the ban opens up significant prospects for Russian pork producers, considering the large size of the Philippine market and the growing demand for high-quality meat products,” Rosselkhoznadzor said.
At the initial stage, seven Russian companies were granted the right to export pork to the Philippines. In September 2025, the Philippines lifted the ban on poultry imports from Russia, which had been in place since 2021. Russia resumed poultry shipments to the country in early December.
