US beef import market unsettled as tariff removals disrupt price discovery
Compared to the prior market test, US beef import prices were not fully established. Removal of the tariffs left the trade unsettled as buyers tried to re-establish market values. Initially the tariffs were removed for Australia/New Zealand and South America but Brazil was excluded. News that Brazil's tariffs were repealed added additional uncertainty at week's end, according to the USDA weekly report.
