Live cattle exports could reach historic volume

According to sector sources and data compiled by consultancy Scot, Brazil is seeing historic growth in live cattle exports in 2025. From January through April, the country shipped approximately 300,000 head — more than twice the volume of the first four months of 2024.

If current projections are confirmed, Brazil could close the year with a historic total near 1.5 million head exported.

“If this projection holds, it would be one of the highest volumes on record, providing a return to producers and an additional outlet for Brazil’s livestock production chain,” the consultancy said.
