US beef import market steadies on improved demand and higher domestic prices

Compared to the last market test, US beef import prices were moderately higher. According to the USDA weekly report, trading activity was slow to moderate, though it picked up toward late February and early March. Improved demand for imported beef and firmer domestic prices continued to support imported values.
