China removed approval from another five US slaughterhouses

Far from beginning to reinstate the approvals withdrawn in the first quarter from most US slaughterhouses and cold stores, China continues to reduce the number of approved plants from this origin.

On August 29, China announced that it had removed approval from three Tyson Foods plants (numbers 278, 245L and 9268) and two Swift Beef Company plants (532 and 3D), according to OIG+X.

The information does not indicate the reason for the new suspensions.
