From Europe, an importer quoted US$ 20,000/t FOB for Argentine product and US$ 19,500/t FOB for Uruguay, although he considered Uruguayan beef to be somewhat overpriced relative to the historical price relationship between the two origins. In Argentina, market sources described business as very quiet, with virtually no trading and Hilton values ranging between US$ 19,700 and 20,000/t FOB.
