After falling to a low point of just over 300 head processed a week earlier, sheep slaughter recovered sharply during the latest week.
According to INAC data, 6,928 sheep were processed in the week ending June 20, with lambs accounting for the largest share at 4,205 head.
The weekly slaughter ranking was led by San Jacinto-Urgal (3,446 head), followed by Las Piedras (2,176) and Oferan (1,215).
Despite the rebound, only 10,670 sheep have been processed so far in June, a decline of 58% compared to the same period last year.
