Beef prices remain firm in the Brazilian domestic market, driven by limited supply of finished cattle and sustained external demand, according to Cepea.
In the partial data for April (through the 20th), the beef carcass rose 4%, reaching R$/kg 25.41 in the São Paulo wholesale market.
In real terms, the monthly average stands at R$/kg 25.05, the highest level in the historical series that began in 2001.
This value represents an increase of 11% compared to April 2025 and 44.8% versus April 2024, reflecting the strong price appreciation accumulated over the past two years.
