Chile’s market hasn’t lost relevance, but it’s adapting to new pricing and trading conditions ahead of the year-end holidays. Paraguay is quoting US$ 7,200–7,500 CIF for the 19-cut set, while Brazil ranges between US$ 6,300–6,500 CIF. The gap has led many Chilean importers — even those who rarely bought Brazilian beef — to reconsider sourcing strategies. “It looks like Brazilian beef will dominate Chile’s market for the rest of the year, while Paraguayan supply will be smaller and concentrated among large supermarket chains that can afford those prices and balance them with other proteins,” an operator told WBR.
