Far from beginning to reverse the suspension of most U.S. beef processing plants that has been in place since the first quarter of the year, China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC) continues to remove export approvals.
According to OIG+X, on October 17 the GACC revoked the approvals of five additional U.S. plants, with the ban taking effect on October 18. No reasons for the suspensions were disclosed.
The affected plants are two owned by JBS (Souderton and Green Bay), as well as Washington Beef, True West Beef, and New Angus.
