Certificate issue delayed Hilton shipments from Argentina and Uruguay

A certification validity problem temporarily delayed entry of Hilton beef shipments from Argentina and Uruguay into the EU. Exporters said certificates “have been issued the same way for 15 years,” but one Hamburg port authority refused to stamp them as Hilton, blocking entry. Brazilian beef was unaffected since its certificate specifies that the product is beef, not buffalo, a distinction absent from the Argentine and Uruguayan documents.
