Brazil’s poultry exports return to pre-avian flu levels
Brazilian poultry exports have recovered from the impact of the avian influenza case detected on a Rio Grande do Sul farm in May. Secex reported that in September, 460 thousand tons of poultry meat were shipped, returning to April levels —before the temporary export bans imposed by several destinations.
The average export price reached US$ 1,768/t, up 0.8% from August but 8% lower year-on-year.
