Nominal US beef imported market

Compared to the prior market test, US beef import prices were not fully established. Trading was slow. Moderate to good demand supported prices but concerns about tariff rates and having the tariffs applied to some product that was previously considered exempt limited trading. The difference in tariff rates between Australia and New Zealand was also a major point of contention among traders, according to the USDA weekly report.
