Cattle prices keep pushing towards their peak
Slaughter cattle prices reached new highs of the year in Paraguay last week. The reference for grassfed males rose 10 cents to a floor of US$ 4.40 per kilo carcass weight and US$ 4.10 for fat cows. As usual, packers pay additional premiums to secure grainfed animals or significant volumes, something that is scarce in today’s market.
