Argentina will be able to continue exporting poultry meat to several countries
Although Argentina preventively suspended poultry exports due to an outbreak of influenza in poultry in a town in Buenos Aires province, it will still be able to sell to destinations that accounted for around 60% of shipments in this category in 2024, which totaled US$ 258 million, according to La Nación citing sources from the Agriculture Secretariat.
“Our country will be able to continue exporting to Singapore, Jordan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Polynesia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, and African countries such as Angola, Namibia, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, among others. It is worth noting that the countries with which trade will remain active represent about 60% of the value exported in poultry products during 2024,” said the Agriculture Secretariat.
Meanwhile, according to AFP, Chile suspended imports of poultry products from Argentina yesterday, which represent 8% of its total imports.
