ADP acquires Goyaike, Pérez Companc’s Uruguayan arm

Agronegocios del Plata (ADP) has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the assets of Goyaike, which include the companies Garmet and Del Carmen. Goyaike was Pérez Companc’s business unit in Uruguay, which, after selling the San Jacinto meatpacking plant a couple of years ago, is now divesting from these other companies as well.

According to Verdenews, the deal involves the acquisition of the company as a going concern, although the transaction amount has not yet been disclosed.

Goyaike owns 16,000 hectares of land and has grain storage facilities in Mercedes and Nueva Palmira. It also operates two feedlots with static capacities of 6,000 and 8,000 head, which could boost ADP’s production by around 40,000 head annually.
