US President Donald Trump announced this Friday a deal aimed at reducing ground beef prices for consumers by 25% through a temporary increase in beef imports. For the next 90 days, the US will allow up to 300,000 tonnes of product for ground beef to be imported without the tariff normally applied to volumes exceeding existing quotas.
