The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that six additional meat and poultry companies have adopted the voluntary Product of USA label, which identifies products derived from animals that are born, raised, harvested, and processed entirely in the United States. The initiative is part of the Trump Administration’s strategy to help consumers identify authentically American-produced food.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said the continued expansion of the label strengthens farmers, ranchers, processors, and rural communities while responding to growing consumer demand for transparent and trustworthy origin labeling.
The newly approved companies are Creekstone Farms (Kansas), Caviness Beef Packers, CS Beef Packers (Texas), Greener Pastures (Texas), Lone Star Beef Processors (Texas), and Claxton Poultry Farms (Georgia).
According to USDA, the program is intended to create additional market opportunities for fully US-produced beef and poultry products.
The initiative complements USDA’s US$ 500 million Strengthening Processing for US Ranchers (SPUR) Program, which supports small and mid-sized beef processors in expanding domestic processing capacity. USDA said additional companies are expected to adopt the Product of USA label in the coming months as demand for American-produced meat and poultry continues to increase.
