China’s sheepmeat imports totaled 20,534 tons in August, worth US$ 102.9 million.
Volume increased by 3.9% year-on-year, while value rose by 33.1%.
In the first eight months of the year, China imported 212,509 tons of sheepmeat worth US$ 1.004 billion, at an average import price of US$ 4,728 per ton. Volume fell by 18% year-on-year, while value increased by 1.2%.
