China authorized two additional Brazilian beef plants to export to the country: Supremo Carnes in Carlos Chagas, Minas Gerais, and Masterboi in Canhotinho, Pernambuco. With these additions, Brazil now has 69 establishments approved to supply beef to the Chinese market.
Two poultry plants, operated by Avivar Alimentos and Cooperativa Dália Alimentos, were also approved.
The immediate impact of the new approvals will be limited, as Brazil has already filled its 1.106 million-ton quota for 2026. They will therefore become more relevant for shipments once the 2027 quota opens.
