Executive branch will respect Coprodec ruling

In a meeting with Campo Unido, Economy Minister Gabriel Oddone told representatives of the agricultural associations that the Executive Branch will respect the Coprodec ruling regarding Minerva’s purchase of Marfrig’s assets. Therefore, the Executive Branch gives up the possibility of modifying or rejecting the decision issued by the decentralized body under the Ministry of Economy.

In addition, regarding the announcement by the Ministry of Livestock (MGAP) to suspend the issuance of certificates for the export of live cattle destined directly for slaughter, the head of the Economy Ministry said that “under the current circumstances, no live export permit will be denied,” thus nullifying the MGAP’s earlier decision.
